Kathryn S. Miller, LCSW, RPT-S, CIMI

Kathy is the founder of Blue Sparrow Psychology Associates and also owns Healing with Play, LLC. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor, and Certified Infant Massage Instructor in Pennsylvania with over a dozen years of clinical experience. Kathy specializes in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and adults, particularly those affected by significant loss or trauma. Kathy utilizes structured evidence-based treatments, such as CBT, TF-CBT, and mindfulness and is able to tailor treatment to the unique needs of young children by integrating the use of sand, art, infant massage, and play therapy

Susanna Francies, Psy.D.

Susanna Francies, PsyD

Susanna is a licensed psychologist in Pennsylvania. She has worked in mental health services for adults and children for nearly 20 years. Susanna provides individual psychotherapy for both adults and children, to address anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders and other life stress or trauma. Susanna's approach to psychotherapy is flexible and individualized, focusing on meeting the client’s needs and validating their experience. She incorporates elements of evidence-based treatments, such as CBT along with other interventions, including DBT, ACT, and mindfulness

Our Treatment Focus

Blue Sparrow Psychology Associates is made up of a team of qualified mental health professionals dedicated to working with individuals and families to promote healing and growth. 


We  offer individualized psychological care including assessment, treatment, and consultation services. We work with children, adolescents, and adults treating a variety of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, and posttraumatic stress. 


We have a flexible treatment model that incorporates best practices based on the latest research. Our mental health professionals have had extensive training in a variety of evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness to make it culturally and developmentally relevant to each of our clients.

Our Rates

Each clinician sets her own fees, which are typically based on an hourly rate, with the exception of Psychological Evaluations, which are procedure based. Contact us directly for more information!

Evaluations for Immigration Purposes

We are trained evaluators with extensive experience conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations documenting the impact of trauma on refugees seeking political asylum and other forms of immigration relief. We are able to accommodate most spoken languages, by teaming up with experienced interpreters.
